Hi, my name is Eliza and I like feeling in shape.
I like weightlifting, running, and taking aerobics classes that showcase my lack of coordination.
I also like eating.
Sometimes I like eating vegetables. Sometimes I like eating donuts.
I work a desk job and probably spend more hours a day sitting than I should.
Basically, I’m just an ordinary woman living in the real world and trying to be good to her body. Over the years, I’ve developed a real passion for fitness and I’m always looking for new workout routines and healthy recipes. However,I get frustrated reading health and fitness articles that provide me with unreasonable programs and unattainable goals… or worse, recommend some ridiculous detox tea.
Let’s be real: fitness is a priority for me, but it’s not priority #1.
I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way) that my health is more important than the size of my jeans and spending time with the people I love is more important than chiseled abs.
So, I decided to start my own fitness blog for people like me. For people who hit it hard in the gym but don’t need to live their life there. For people who eat their share of grilled chicken, broccoli, and brown rice but can down donuts like nobody’s business. For people who want to push themselves to the next level physically but have family, friends, and jobs that will always be a priority.
For people who are rough and tough but really a cream puff at heart.
(and since someone already took the domain rough tough, we spell it ruff tuff around here)
